i just couldn't do it

so these last few months have been strange. my grandmother died the day after thanksgiving. she was an amazing lady, devoted to the idea of education and so very industrious. after spending a week with my family from near and far i went back to work, and put in my notice.

no more bank.

the small sewing job has gotten bigger, and is big enough that, for now at least, i can support myself doing that. it may not last though, so in anticipation of that i have gone into craft overdrive and am going to get some of my own designs made and online for purchase soon...

i have been sewing, knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, painting and designing like mad for several weeks now. its strange to think i might actually make this work but since no proper museum job is forthcoming i have to do something that i can enjoy and be proud of, and my artsy craftiness is the next best thing to museuminess.

we'll see how it goes...
